Cortland is adding multi-factor authentication to its CorPro web portal.
Multi-factor authentication adds a layer of security that protects against unauthorized access to your account. As we roll out this new authentication method to CorPro, we’re happy to provide you with some answers to frequently asked questions.
What will change?
When you sign in to CorPro, in addition to entering your username and password, you will be prompted to enter a code, which will be sent to you by email or text message.
How do I authenticate a new device?
When you select “Remember Me” on the login screen and complete authentication by email or text message, your device will be marked as an authenticated device. For 24 hours after this selection has been made, it will not be necessary to perform multi-factor authentication when logging in from this device. After this 24-hour period has ended, you will be required to reauthenticate on your next login.
Can I change my authentication preferences?
You can manage the email address(es) and phone number(s) that are available for Multi-Factor Authentication on the “My Information” page of your profile.
The “Account Security” page of your profile will allow you to turn off multi-factor authentication by email and restrict the authentication method to phone only.
